Controlled testing policy · Updated August 26, 2026
Before accepting
- Review the worker’s in-app history, business status, license, insurance, and outside-review links separately.
- Keep the scope, price, included materials, hauling, arrival window, and direct payment method in writing.
- Do not share the exact address outside the accepted-job flow.
- Use a site visit when the work cannot be priced safely from photos.
During the job
- Keep children, pets, valuables, and bystanders away from equipment and work areas.
- Do not ask a local helper to perform regulated work they are not qualified to do.
- Use in-app messages for scope changes and never feel pressured to continue an unsafe interaction.
After the job
- Inspect the agreed work and completion photos before approving completion.
- Use the service-concern record for conduct, damage, attendance, or quality concerns.
- Handle any payment question directly with the other participant; YardNearby does not hold or refund job money.
- Use the private safety report for fraud, threats, harassment, damage, or false credentials.
Immediate danger
Leave the area if safe to do so and contact local emergency services. YardNearby support cannot provide emergency response.
